Positive case of COVID-19 reported at Brushfork Elementary

BLUEFIELD, WV (WVNS)– A positive case of COVID-19 is reported at a school in Mercer County.

Mercer County Public Schools announced on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020, an employee at Brushfork Elementary School tested positive for the virus. Students and staff known to be exposed have been contacted and are quarantined.

The Mercer County Health Department is conducting contact tracing. Deep cleaning and disinfecting of all affected areas will be completed.
