UPDATE: Driver who reportedly killed Greenbrier County teen turns himself in

February, 17, 2020 UPDATE: TAYLOR TOWNSHIP, PA (WVNS) — The man who police believe took the life of a girl from Greenbrier County turned himself in Friday, February 14, 2020.

Robert Hodge is accused of hitting and killing Alissa Jones with his truck in June, 2019. The accident happened in Taylor Township, Pennsylvania. Jones later died in the hospital.

New Castle Police told 59News Hodge is charged with homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, among other crimes.

Hodge did not go to jail, he is out on bond with a court hearing in March.


Original Story TAYLOR TOWNSHIP, PA (WVNS) — A young girl from Greenbrier County is dead after an accident in Taylor Township, Pennsylvania.

According to the New Castle Police Department, Alissa Jones died in the hospital after a hit-and-run Sunday, June 30, 2019. Police said they are still investigating the accident, but they do have a person of interest. No arrests have been made.

According to Greenbrier East FFA, Jones just graduated from high school and was a four year member of the FFA.
