UPDATE: BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) – Deputy Chief Dave Allard with the Beckley P.D. has released new information regarding the shooting in Beckley Saturday night.

According to a press release, on Saturday, April 22, 2023, Beckley P.D. officers responded to a report of shots being fired on Sheridan Avenue, near 7th Street.

When the officers arrived on scene, they discovered two cars that had crashed into each other. Police found three gunshot victims, all black males, on the ground outside of the car.

The other car was left empty when police arrived, but witnesses say three black males were seen running from the scene before officers arrived.

Police recovered multiple guns and approximately 100 fired bullet casings scattered around the cars and the street.
