UPDATE as of Thursday, Oct. 24, 4a.m.: Both eastbound lanes of I-64 are reopen following a tractor trailer accident.


LEWISBURG, WV (WVNS) — Both eastbound lanes of I-64 are closed in Greenbrier County.

According to Greenbrier County Dispatchers, a tractor trailer was on fire near mile marker 169. They got the initial call at 9:27 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23. Flames fully engulfed the truck, but the driver was able to get out safely.

The lanes will remain closed until crews clear the scene. Traffic is being detoured at exit 161 so people can take U.S. 60 to Lewisburg.
