CHARLESTON, WV (WVNS) — The West Virginia Tourism Office released its 2019 Fall Foliage Forecast. This is the beginning of a series of weekly fall foliage updates from the Tourism Office.

The goal is to help people plan their fall trips. The weekly reports will share the percentage of color change across the state, plus tips and trip ideas. People can visit http://www.WVtourism.com/fall to access the live leaf tracker tool, along with the fall color map and the Fall Pocket Passport.

The Tourism Office is also encouraging people to post their own fall color photos. West Virginians and visitors can post photos with #AlmostHeaven to be added to the live leaf tracker map.

“This year, we’re calling on all West Virginians to help us showcase our state’s beautiful fall colors,” Ruby said. “As the leaves change in your area, take a photo and post to social media using #AlmostHeaven. Your photos will help travelers from across the country see that West Virginia is the place to be in the fall.”
