SOPHIA, WV (WVNS) — At approximately 2:16 P.M., at the 800th block of Robert C. Byrd Drive, a two car accident occurred at Lester Square.

There are currently no road closures.

Sophia City Fire Department, Coal City Fire Department, Sophia Police, Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office, and Jan Care EMS arrived on scene.

Three people were transported to the hospital. The extent of their injuries are unknown.
