We are one week away from a new season! The overall trend is looking for more summer-like conditions as we head toward the new season…

Tonight is yet another cool and crisp night with perhaps some light fog and temperatures a teeny bit milder, with lows in the lower to middle 50s in comparison to the 40s we’ve experienced pretty commonplace over the last couple of nights.

Friday looks great not only for any outdoor plans but for high school football as well. Highs will be in the upper 70s. Kickoff for high school football games across the area will feature temperatures in the lower 70s dropping into the lower 60s by the end of games – fantastic!

Saturday looks beautiful as well, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s with low humidity – 10 out of 10 for weekend weather!

Sunday also as a result looks great, with temperatures similarly in the upper 70s under partly sunny skies.

Monday keeps the dry weather pattern around, with highs in the upper 70s under partly sunny skies. No chances for rain, just a few Toy Story-like clouds for the afternoon.

Tuesday provides a little warmer weather with an upper-level ridge building. We’ll see highs around 80. Though humidity levels will still be held in check, we COULD squeeze out an isolated shower over the mountains. Most of us will remain dry and this trend will continue into the end of next week.

Wednesday keeps that chance for an isolated shower. Most of us are dry but it’s a little warmer, with highs in the lower 80s.

Thursday is the first day of fall and we’ll see highs in the lower 80s with only an isolated chance for a shower. Most are dry and summer-like!

Looking ahead, the beautiful weather in our region looks to continue through the end of next week across the region. By then, a little bit of warmth and humidity looks to return which should pop us back up into the lower 80s for highs. Our next REAL chance for rain does not return until next weekend and will be contingent based on the potential for a tropical system to move up from the south – we’ll watch closely! Enjoy the dry weather ahead and don’t forget about the UV index this time of year!
